April 3, 2023— It's been over a decade now and pop culture has now flourished. Marvel movies are a thing, gaming is now an esport, and anime is socially acceptable with being more known throughout the world. Whatever your community may be, it feels like a breath of fresh air that more and more people are ok with hobbies that were once frowned upon by many others and that are now being discovered by new passionate fans.
Personally I love the Marvel movies. I cherish the memories from when I saw the first Iron Man movie with my family in theaters to watching a decade long universe flourish and seeing Avengers Endgame with my friends. It's something not only special to me but to you as well. It's nostalgia at its finest and even though I don’t play as many games as I used to, I still have my favorite video game tattooed on me to show to others my love for video games.
Although the MCU and gaming don’t compare to my undying love for anime or manga. God! How I can go on about how much of a badass Guts is and how wrong Griffith was or how Inio Asano’s mangas are like bibles to me.
Whatever my hobby is, I love it and whether you’re into this or not I hope you cherish what you’re passionate about too. Our respected communities thrive on us. My point? Whether you’re a nerd, athlete or grease monkey, whatever the hell it may be; be proud of it cause some of us might like it and others won’t and that's okay not everything is meant for everyone just enjoy your hobby dude!
We’re all human and each one of us deserve an escape once in a while.
