From a famed video game of two brothers in a plumbing business, Mario and Luigi come the big screen with lots of action and comedy for the whole family to enjoy. Since releasing on April 5, The Super Mario Bros. Movie has become a major box office success. With its opening weekend sales being over $377 million worldwide. And currently it's on it's way to a billion dollars worldwide.
The voices of the characters included actors and actresses such as Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach and Jack Black as Bowser. Which made the movie fun, visually impressive and, most of all, harmless.
The movie consisted of Mario with the help of Princess Peach navigating through the Mushroom Kingdom to help save Luigi from the evil Bowser. Bowser’s remedy to keep from killing Luigi is to have Princess Peach marry Bowser, to which Princess Peach refuses.
Towards the end of the movie Mario and Luigi capture the Starmen, which transforms both of them into into tall and big individuals and help destroy Bowser at his tracks and in essence save the Mushroom Kingdom.
Overall, the movie was able to capture the attention of adults and kids of all walks of life. Through its unique portrayal of fun and comical scenes and phrases for the whole family to fall in love with the movie.
