Feb 25, 2023— Was the day it snowed in the Inland Empire California. Cities all across the I.E.(Rialto, Fontana, Colton, San Bernardino) were hit with light snow. Many citizens were left in awe all across social media platforms due to the fact that it never snows in Southern California. Students of San Bernardino Valley College who attended their Saturday classes were greeted with a layer of snow, creating a winter wonderland that may end up being a once in a lifetime experience on this beautiful day.
It has been more than a decade since it last ever snowed in the I.E. As a matter of fact two days before this were blizzards in Big Bear, Mt, High, Snow Valley that left people trapped in their homes because of how overwhelming the snow became.
Even though the snow is beautiful to look at in cities where it never snows, it also brings up a question in everyone's mind: is this due to climate change? Will summers become hotter? Will rain become warm? Etc, etc. As we are left with wonder and nostalgia from a city that isn’t supposed to snow as a conscious civilization spontaneous weather as this should be taken as a double edge sword.
