By Mauricio Patino

Earlier this Fall the “Dumb Money” movie did not become a major box office success; like it should have been. With an unfortunate $10.8 million dollar lost. Despite this fact “Dumb Money” proved to be a hilarious, thrilling and rollercoaster ride of a movie.

The cast includes many acclaimed actors and actresses such as Pete Davidson as Kevin Gill, America Ferrera as Jenny, Nick Offerman as Ken Griffin, Myha’la Herrold as Riri, Seth Rogen as Gabe Plotkin, Paul Dano as Keith Gill, Vincent D’Onofrio as Steve Cohen and much more.

Dumb Money is a biographical,comedy-drama that takes the story of a financial analyst named Keith Gill in Brockton,Massachusetts that uses his spare time to invest in stocks. With the power of YouTube he rallies enough support from regular average people like Jenny and Riri to invest in the GameStop (a video game store) stock and soon flips the entire script of powerful rich.

The middle guy in this whole situation is  Keith Gill, a regular guy who starts it all by sinking his life savings into the stock. Soon after his social media posts started blowing up and becoming popular by the day. His life and the lives of everyone following him and believing via his social media posts and everything changes for them for the good. As a stock tip becomes a movement, everyone gets wealthy -- until the billionaires fight back and both sides find their worlds turned upside down. Ultimately, this cements their as a tale of David vs. Goliath because everyday people were able to make millions of dollars by countering the rich and powerful.
